A letter to my former English teacher in high school

　　Dear Miss Wang： How time flies！ I've been studying in such a new environment as a fresh student for fortnight or so， and therefore I've adapted myself to college life primarily so far。 So far as I'm concerned， college is considered as another new beginning in my life。 Life is so colorful at university that I'm deeply-attracted from time to time。 For instance， it is of great benefits to participate in some clubs。 In conclusion， not only can university provide me with such a platform that can express myself to the public but help me form into the habit of managing my life and study independently。

　　Great changes have taken place in English at college。 I find oral English plays a critical role in college English study。 In the meanwhile， I realize I cannot catch up with native students in English especially in Spoken-English。 As the saying goes， "chances favor only prepared mind"。 I regard oral-practice as an opportunity of strengthening my English-Spoken and practise it around the clock。 Put it another way， I would attach great importance to practising oral-English rather than do Engliish exercises all the time。 When it comes to how to deal with these new words， I refer to the dictionaries as usual when studying English， and dictionaries always are set in which I can put my hands on。 What's more， it is beneficial for me to read English novels， which can broaden my horizons and enriches my vocabularies finally。 Above all， I know about what can't be learnt from English textbooks。
