Rich Dad Poor Dad

  《Rich Dad Poor Dad》

One of the reasons the rich get richer, the poor get poorer, and the middle class struggles in debt is that the subject of money is taught at home, not in school.

“You’d best change your point of view. Stop blaming me and thinking I’m the problem. If you think I’m the problem, then you have to change me. If you realize that you’re the problem, then you can change yourself, learn something, and grow wiser. Most people want everyone else in the world to change but themselves. Let me tell you, it’s easier to change yourself than everyone else.”

ecause students leave school without financial skills, millions of educated people pursue their profession successfully, but later find themselves struggling financially. They work harder but don’t get ahead. What is missing from their education is not how to make money, but how to manage money. It’s called financial aptitude—what you do with the money once you make it, how to keep people from taking it from you, how to keep it longer, and how to make that money work hard for you. Most people don’t understand why they struggle financially because they don’t understand cash flow. A person can be highly educated, professionally successful, and financially illiterate. These people often work harder than they need to because they learned how to work hard, but not how to have their money work hard for them.

It is said that the fear of public speaking is a fear greater than death for most people. According to psychiatrists, the fear of public speaking is caused by the fear of ostracism, the fear of standing out, the fear of criticism, the fear of ridicule, and the fear of being an outcast. The fear of being different prevents most people from seeking new ways to solve their problems.

An important distinction is that rich people buy luxuries last, while the poor and middle class tend to buy luxuries first. The poor and the middle class often buy luxury items like big houses, diamonds, furs, jewelry, or boats because they want to look rich. They look rich, but in reality they just get deeper in debt on credit. The old-money people, the long-term rich, build their asset column first. Then the income generated from the asset column buys their luxuries. The poor and middle class buy luxuries with their own sweat, blood, and children’s inheritance.

Most people never win because they’re more afraid of losing. That is why I found school so silly. In school we learn that mistakes are bad, and we are punished for making them. Yet if you look at the way humans are designed to learn, we learn by making mistakes. We learn to walk by falling down. If we never fell down, we would never walk. The same is true for learning to ride a bike. I still have scars on my knees, but today I can ride a bike without thinking. The same is true for getting rich. Unfortunately, the main reason most people are not rich is because they are terrified of losing. Winners are not afraid of losing. But losers are. Failure is part of the process of success. People who avoid failure also avoid success.

In school and in the workplace, the popular opinion is the idea of specialization: that is, in order to make more money or get promoted, you need to specialize. That is why medical doctors immediately begin to seek a specialty such as orthopedics or pediatrics. The same is true for accountants, architects, lawyers, pilots, and others.

ut for those of you who might be on the fence when it comes to the idea of working to learn something new, I offer this word of encouragement: Life is much like going to the gym. The most painful part is deciding to go. Once you get past that, it’s easy. There have been many days I have dreaded going to the gym, but once I am there and in motion, it is a pleasure. After the workout is over, I am always glad I talked myself into going.

The fear of losing money is real. Everyone has it. Even the rich. But it’s not having fear that is the problem. It’s how you handle fear. It’s how you handle losing. It’s how you handle failure that makes the difference in one’s life. The primary difference between a rich person and a poor person is how they manage that fear. It’s okay to be fearful. It’s okay to be a coward when it comes to money. You can still be rich. We’re all heroes at something, and cowards at something else. My friend’s wife is an emergency-room nurse. When she sees blood, she flies into action. When I mention investing, she runs away. When I see blood, I don’t run. I pass out.

Today, I often meet people who are too busy to take care of their wealth. And there are people too busy to take care of their health. The cause is the same. They’re busy, and they stay busy as a way of avoiding something they do not want to face. Nobody has to tell them. Deep down they know. In fact, if you remind them, they often respond with anger or irritation. If they aren’t busy at work or with the kids, they’re often busy watching TV, fishing, playing golf, or shopping. Yet deep down they know they are avoiding something important. That’s the most common form of laziness: laziness by staying busy.

If I could leave one single idea with you, it is that idea. Whenever you feel short or in need of something, give what you want first and it will come back in buckets. Finding a good deal, the right business, the right people, the right investors, or whatever is just like dating. You must go to the market and talk to a lot of people, make a lot of offers, counteroffers, negotiate, reject, and accept. I know single people who sit at home and wait for the phone to ring, but it’s better to go to the market, even if it’s only the supermarket. Search, offer, reject, negotiate, and accept are all parts of the process of almost everything in life.

  《Rich Dad Poor Dad》

  《Rich Dad Poor Dad》

Rich Dad, Poor Dad

Robert T.Kiyosaki

  1. "Money is one form of power. But what is more powerful is financial education."

  2. “The poor and the middle class work for money.” “The rich have money work for them.”

  3. “If you want to be rich, you’ve got to read and understand numbers.”

  4. “The rich acquire assets and the poor and middle class acquire liabilities.”Keep your daytime job, but start buying real assets, not liabilities or personal effects that have no real value once you get them home.

  5. “An intelligent person hires people who are more intelligent than they are.”

  6. "When I want a bigger house, I first buy assets that will generate the cash flow to pay for the house."

  7. “Life is much like going to the gym. The most painful part is deciding to go. Once you get past that, it’s easy. There have been many days I have dreaded going to the gym, but once I am there and in motion, it is a pleasure. After the workout is over, I am always glad I talked myself into going.”

  8. " Money is only an idea. If you want more money simply change your thinking."

《Rich Dad Poor Dad》读后感(四):Nurture your financial intelligenceliteracy

-‘The price of the stock usually goes up when the downsizing is announced’, and that’s when employees lose but owners and investors win.

  - strive to be good employees while also striving to own their investment corporation is not such a bad idea.

  - The idea of job protection for life and job benefits seemed more important, at times, than the job.

  - The avoidance of money is just as psychotic as being attached to money.

  - The moment I began to picture a new baseball glove, candy and toys, that’s like a carrot to a donkey.

  - An asset is sth that puts money in my pocket. A liability is sth that takes money out of my pocket.

  - Three cash flow patterns:

A poor, or a young person still at home

Job (provides income)-> expenses (taxed food rent clothes fun transportation)

  Asset (none)

  Liability (none)

  The middle class

Job (provides income)-> expenses (taxed food rent clothes fun transportation)

  Asset (none)

Liability (mortgage consumer loans credit cards)

  A wealth person

Assets (stocks bonds notes real estate intellectual property) -> income (dividends interest rental income royalties)

  Liabilities (none)

  And…what the masses do:

  Income= work for owner

  Expense= work for government

  Asset= none

  Liability= work for bank

-Wealth is a person’s ability to survive so many number of days forward…or if I stopped working today, how long could I survive?

-Mind your own business: Their profession may be a banker, but they still need their own business. (Business that do not require my presence)

-The best thing about money is that it works 24 hours a day and can work for generations.

-And the person who has the most timely info owns the wealth. Old ideas are their biggest liabilities.

-Financial intelligence is a synergy of accounting, investing, marketing and law.

-main management skills needed for success: management of cash flow, system (including yourself and time with family); and of people

-Our lives are a reflection of our habits more than our education.

  《Rich Dad Poor Dad》

  《Rich Dad Poor Dad》

  1) 富爸爸和穷爸爸最大的区别,一个口头禅是we can't afford it,另一个是how can we afford it.

  《Rich Dad Poor Dad》

The rich buy assets. The poor only have expenses. / Few people realize that luck is created. / You want to know a little about a lot. / The most important specialized skills are sales and understanding marketing.......I advise them to just spend a year learning to sell. Even if they earn nothing, their communication skills will improve. And that is priceless.

Rich Dad,Poor Dad

Rich Dad,Poor Dad

Robert T.Kiyosaki

以下是我透析出来的生词,共计60个:foreclosure,in retrospect ,outcry,hitch,brokers,dip into,astute,entrepreneur,dough,dominion,sacrifice,creditors,despondency,tenacious,buyer's remorse,duplex,overcoming obstacles,union,hassle,pensions,jargon,synergy,rat race,detractors,corporation,intimidation,vehicle,permanent,portfolio,stocks,profession,franchise,generating,sophisticated,property taxes,home mortgage,cash flow,liability,assets,termination,distributor,Tar Baby,attorneys,fanatical,needy,fuse,sputter,deductions,a taste of life,guts,lecture,claustrophobic,plaster mold,a twist of fate,skull,forbade,accountants,investments,mutualfunds,smirk.

But whatever happens, we have two fundamental choices: play it safe or play it smart by preparing, getting educated and awakening your own and your children's financial genius. - Sbaron Lecbter

one dad had a habit of saying, "I can't afford it." The other dad forbade those words to be used. He insisted I say, "How can I afford it?" One is a statement, and the other is a question. One lets you off the hook, and the other forces you to think。

1.Laziness decreases both health and wealth.

2.Broke is temporary, and poor is eternal.

3.Being able to know when to make quick decisions is an important skill.

4."The poor and the middle class work for money." "The rich have money work for them."

5.because your two emotions, fear and desire, can lead you into life's biggest trap.

6.The rich buy assets. The poor only have expenses. The middle class buys liabilities they think are assets。

7.Failure inspires winners. And failure defeats losers. It is the biggest secret of winners。

。。。An asset is something that puts money in my pocket. A liability is something that takes money out of my pocket.

We started to understand why our rich dad told us that schools were designed to produce good employees instead of employers.

An important distinction is that rich people buy luxuries last, while the poor and middle class tend to buy luxuries first。

The main management skills needed for success are:

  1. The management of cash flow

  2. The management of systems (including yourself and time with family).

  3. The management of people.

I have several friends who have generated over a billion dollars in their

hort lifetimes. The three of them report the same phenomenon: Their friends who

have no money have never come to them to ask them how they did it. But they do

come asking for one of two things, or both: 1. a loan, or 2. a job.
