《How to Read Poetry Like a Professor》的读后感大全

  《How to Read Poetry Like a Professor》是一本由Thomas C. Foster著作,Harper Perennial出版的平装图书,本书定价:USD $15.99,页数:224,特精心从网络上整理的一些读者的读后感,希望对大家能有帮助。

  《How to Read Poetry Like a Professor》读后感(一):专有名词学习记录

  第二周读后感:

  悄悄增加了一颗星,意识到之前读不懂,是自己水平低还不自知,这周扛不住,老老实实把相关的专业词汇挨个到字典里查查,学习学习。

  - Dimeter: 2 metrical feet ( of whatever shape, as with all of these), 二音部

  - Trimeter: 3 metrical feet, 三音部

  - Terameter: 4,四音部

  - Pentameter: 5,五音部

  - Hexameter: 6,六音部

  - Heptameter: 7,七音部

  - Octameter: 8,八音部

  - Iamb: 抑扬格

  - Trochee: 扬抑格

  - Spondee: 扬扬格

  - Anapest: 抑抑扬格

  - Dactyl: 扬抑抑格

  y the way, 诗果然要读出声来,才有感觉。当眼睛作为输入,嘴巴作为输出工具时,同时运作带来的快感的确和默默读不一样。

  《How to Read Poetry Like a Professor》读后感(二):新世界的大门

  固定的晨间英文阅读选择:读短的?读诗吧!所以选了这本如何读诗。继而发现学问更深,硬着头皮往下读,读到20几页已经出现查字典也不能理解的专用名词,又不想弃读,索性先把读诗原则和几个名词列一下,也许读到后面自然会懂。(就算永远读不懂也没啥,反正就是白搭功夫呗,我有的是功夫)

读诗的七个规则

  Rule 1: Read the words

  读词

Rule 2: Read ALL the words

  读每个词

  Rule 3: Read sentences

  读句子

Rule 4: Ignore lines on first reading

  第一次读时忽略换行

Rule 5: Obey all punctuation, including its absence

  按照标点读 即使缺失部分标点

Rule 6: Read the poem aloud

  大声读

  Rule 7: Read it again

  反复读

几个概念

  - Alliteration: 头韵, 相连单词的开头使用同样的字母或语音

  - Consonance: 尾韵,诗中词尾或重读音节使用相同的辅音

  - Assonance: 半韵,靠得很近的单词中有两个音节元音相同而辅音不同,或辅音相同而元音不同

  挖个坑,本周先写到这。

  《How to Read Poetry Like a Professor》读后感(三):读完也没变成教授,不过收益也很大

诗歌是一种令人着迷的艺术表现形式,不仅在于其丰富的形式,更在于其蕴含的无限可能性。本书前半部分的展开基本和我的预期一致,偏教学向,很多拗口的定义。而后面的演绎确实出乎意料,但细想之下,与音乐等其他形式的比较,又合情合理。沉下心来做点没有实质收益的事情,感觉。。挺好的。

格式是枷锁吗?

比起其他文种,诗歌有着较为严格的格式和韵律规则,但就是这样也无法对其形成限制"far from being restrictive, poetic forms are rife with possibilities.也许正是对形式的要求,让我们的表达反而更加大放异彩,因为放下了对于形式的纠结,集中注意力在内容。

如果将叙述类文章比作电影,那么诗歌/歌词则可视同摄影,是绝美景色的剪影,是对瞬间的捕捉,以及一瞬间的感念。

The insights he offers are not into matters of policy or strategy but into being. Which is to say that he explores matters not of social organization but of the spirit.

因此我们称其为“supreme fiction",诗歌总是将其意义隐藏起来,always suggested in hints, whispers, and shouts.

艺术的比较形式

Songs have always used poetry. The terms "verse" and "chorus" are impossible to disentangle from their poetic origins. "Verse" comes from the Latin "versus", which meants "against" or "return", The chorus, meanwhile, had nothing to with showgirls and high kicks, ...to fill interludes when the characters were offstage, sang or rhythmically chanted the dramatic odes. which of course consitute a type of poem.

诗歌,要大声读出来

作者强烈建议大声读出来诗歌,因为默读会失去一些口腔与声带共振产生的激情。

written poetry that achieves its fullest form in oral recitation. ...beat mania. The poem maintains the breathless, headlong rush of this opening throughout.

  《How to Read Poetry Like a Professor》读后感(四):几种诗词格式

  开读一个月,竟然没有弃,鼓励自己一下。

  作者应该是老师吧?在阐述对于诗词知识理解时,真的很有一套。连预料中比较无聊的诗词格式介绍(第十章),意外地看得津津有味,我是有多无聊。。本章开篇即提示,没必要费力去记住这些格式,反倒让我卸下了包袱,有兴趣进行研究:

Even with a hundred billion neirons in the brain, some things aren't worth the storage space.

HAIKU 俳句

  先把最简单的拿出来讲,大家心理负担没那么大,接受起来比较容易。

Three lines, 5-7-5 syllables respectively, two images juxtaposed.

VILLANELLE 十九行诗

  因为有两段是重复的,所以十九行诗其实只有十三行。

but it really only has 13, since 2 of them get repeated. Repeatedly. Lines one and three of the first stanza from the refrain and then are deployed alternately.

SESTINA 六行诗

  作者有点小得意,据说每次提出这个词,收获都是茫然的目光。顺便还黑了一把法语。

The poem consists of 6 six-line stanzas, often with a 3-line epilogus, called an envoi, appended at the end. There is typically no rhyming( French, remember?)

RONDEAU AND TRIOLET 十行两韵诗 八行两韵诗

The rondeau consists of 15 lines divided unevenly among 5 stanzas, with only 2 rhymes and a repeat of the first phrase of the first line, which is the rentrement. The triolet is a mere 8 lines with the wording of line 2 recurs in the line, changes in punctuation, as with many of those forms, is not merely permitted but almost mandatory.

  但不必苛求格式的严格遵守,比起传统,我们更看重创新。

ELEGY 挽歌

An elegy is a poem memorializing someone recently deceased and, usually, known to the poem.

  挽歌往往表现出诗人对于身边故人的思念。最出名的莫过于惠特曼的船长。

  O Captain! my Captain!

ODE 颂诗

  与挽歌相比,颂诗对于格式的要求更加严格,与十四行诗相比,又略松些。

of somewhat greater length, seriousness of tone and subject, formal structure, and movement of mind.

PASTORAL 牧歌

What lies behind the pastoral, usually unspoken, is a sort of nostalgia for some golden past of rural simplicity by urban dwellers.

  牧歌是居住在城市格子间中,对于乡村生活怀念的都市人怀旧情绪的体现。

  本章最后,作者也提示,不要被格式所拘束

Far from being restrictive, poetic forms are rife with possibilities.

  我想,唐诗宋词对于格律的要求更为严格,仍然能激发出无限可能性。先熟悉规则,然后带着脚镣跳舞,也不失为一种选项。
