《Wuthering Heights》
《Wuthering Heights》读后感(二):They are not lovers. They are one.
Lesbianism and the Censoring of Wuthering Heights。
She definitely has some kind of identity crisis.
《Wuthering Heights》
I had seen the movie version before I read the book and somehow came under the impression that it was a love story. Man, how I was wrong. You like a book for manifold reasons, be lovable characters, meticulous descriptions, twisted plots, or whatever might suits you.
I really can’t stand either Heathcliff or Cathy. They are so savage, selfish, self-destructive and gravely unlikable and completely ruin the lives of others. If it is about interminable love, what sustain Heathcliff to the very end after the decease of Cathy? He is depleted and frazzled in chasing the euphoric that no longer exists. Heathcliff may prove one thing that human monsters are taught, not made.
