  《the Kite Runner》读后感(一):Life is fragile and fate determines.--"The Kite Runner"

  To many, the first conclusive word for the book "the Kite Runner" might be: redemption. It popped up in my head too together with many other when I finally turned the last page of the book at my bedside. But the more you sip the aroma of the story it lingers, the more you will find the main issue the book addresses is LIFE, and rather: FATE, the root cause of every sheer happening of the story.

  quot;Life" or "fate" has many different interpretations, and connotations as well, to different people. Thus, it is a commonplace theme attended to in worldwide artistic works. The concept of it realises itself in different versions of representations. It is, in some sense, like religion. Christians believe in God, Buddhists believe in Buddhas, while the Muslims believe in Allah. In my innocent understanding, God, Buddha or Allah, are the assumed images of people's beliefs. It is not which of which of the images of the three that matters, it is the truth that you have an unwavering "belief" that matters. So in this light, belief or life or fate is the abstract core spirit which is represented into varieties of realities. The heroes in the book: Amir and Hassan, born and grow up together, go different ways of their lives. It is LIFE/ FATE that has decided it in the very first place.

  It's when I met a friend in a good talk that I find myself seriously strange to reading for a long time. With his recommendation, I bought this book, its origional version. The time I came to its first page, I was so gripped by the story that I carried on to the last page whenever time is available in seven days.

  I cried over and over, teardrops shedding in my quiet office, fearing this stupid embarrassment be discovered. I can't help my heart going for the heroes, even though I know the story is obviously a fictioned one.

  Hassan, from a lower class of Afghanistan society, grows up with Amir (the first person of the story) in the same household, with Amir being the master and Hassan the servant. Amir refers to Hassan as "friend". To be exact, it should be "playmate" to its best, 'cause "friend" requires more. The title "friend" can be denied in the many descriptions of how Amir takes the lead and superiority in their childhood playing and how Amir countlessly humiliates Hassan by taking delight in his illiteracy and rendering him in dangers of rescuing him as such. In their teenage, they joined in the most important event, kite running, in their neighbourhood. The event is considered an important occasion by Amir to win his fahter's favour and approval since the father seems to love Hassan, his servant's son better. With every technical quality this requires, Amir finally wins. When Amir comes to find Hassan who runs to help him catch the defeated kite, Amir witnesses how Hassan, the teenage boy, is being sexually abused by a mob of wicked upper class boys. Naming himself a friend of Hassan, Amir does not stand to stop the horrifying sinned behaviour, but rather hides it to himself. Feeling ashamed and sinned at the same time, Amir frames a theft on Hassan and drives the family out of his territory. This then begins his journey of redemption. Due to wars, Amir and his family flee to Ameira for political asylum. But the torture of the sin never ceases. When he is summoned back to Afghanistan by a phone call of his father's best friend, he finally heals his wound and comes eternally to his redemption by fighting to save Hassan's orphaned son, Sohrab, who has experienced and endured all kinds of maltreations like his father.

  It is easy to summarize the plots of the story, but honestly hard to verbalise the repeating effects the story leaves on the reader.

  The story, I think, is layered into two paralleled levels: one is the author's pilgrimage to his own redemption, an obvious one; and the other is how fate and war have manipulated innocent people into disasters and tortures, the hidden one. The minute descripiton of the process of how Amir finally grows to find his redemption is actually introducing the main issue the book addresses: Life is fragile and fate determines.

  When a life is born, it is by nature no different from any in terms of the importance as a life. But when it is presented into actual lives (different social realities), it carries different weights of social status, hierarchical classes, wealth, so that it weighs in different importance, then (so pls don't propagandize on that people are born equal, bla bla bla). You know why Hassan has undergone so many inhumane disasters: sexual abuse at teenage, betrayal and driveout by his only betrusted friend, shot dead in the street with his wife leaving behind his only son an orphan? And even worse, his beloved son Sohrab ironically endures the same and even more miserable illtreatments life grants him: eyewitnessing his parents being killed in front of him, being thrown to an orphange where food and safety is not covered, and bought by the abuser who did wrong to his father and got sexually abused by the same bastard. WHAT is this? It is not an coincidence. It is what is called FATE. Hassan and his son are not born to be doomed but born into that social class which defines their doomed fate. They do not choose to. In this sense, it is called fate. The fate has this interpretation in this Afghanistan world in that warring time and has other interpretations in other worlds in other periods. In this way, life carries itself on.

  这本书我读得慢,每晚睡前坐在床上翻一些,到今天刚好九天。以前读一些书,都是迫不及待地读下去,想要知道发生了什么,想要看到作者的想法,哪怕故事再悲伤,再残忍,我都会乐在其中,有时候把自己和身边的人放进去,有时候把历史放进去,像《美国佬》,像《小岛》,然后看完后长长地舒一口气,又跑去晒太阳了。

  可是读这本书,我不能太快,因为这不是用来自我对比自虐自戕的故事,也不是只属于历史的,让人觉得保持了一定安全距离的故事。在我读的时候,也许这些事情就在发生。不是也许,是肯定。

  两个阿富汗孩子,一个普什图Amir,一个哈扎拉Hassan,一起长大,像朋友,却无法成为朋友,又更甚朋友。一个有天生的奴性,只因哈扎拉这个标签;一个在社会给与的种族优越感和父亲的平等对待甚至偏爱中矛盾、羡慕、犯错、自责。但他们对彼此的感情是真诚的,哪怕后来远隔千山万水,他们都自愿地把彼此的生命嫁接在了自己的生命之上。Hassan回到了危险Kabul,等Amir回来;Amir几十年深深地自责,最后把Hassan的孩子带到了美国。

  History isn't easy to overcome, neither is religion. 但是Amir做到了,虽然晚了几十年。所以Rahim Khan 在给Amir的信中写道:what you did was wrong, Amir jan, but do not forget that you were a boy when it happened. A troubled little boy. You were too hard on yourself then, and you still are. But I hope you will heed this: A man who has no concience, no goodness, does not suffer. I hope your suffering comes to an end with your journey to Afghanistan.

  Finally, Amir have his guilt lead to good.然而他只是一个人在战斗,他拯救的只是自己和一个孩子。可是阿富汗呢?在歧视、屠杀、战争等罪行之后,内疚在哪,它又将阿富汗带往何处?世界呢?

  I looked at the photo. Your father was a man torn between two halves, Rahim Khan had said in his letter. I had been the entitled half, the society-approved, legitimate half, the unwitting embodiment of Baba's guilt. I looked at Hassan. Baba's other half. The unentitled,unprivileged half. The half who had inherited what had been pure and noble in Baba. The half that, maybe, in the most secret recesses of his heart, Baba had thought of as his true son.

  I have nothing t read when I am back to home, Wenzhou. So I dig my old books from shelf. I found this cheap printed 5 yuan book, the kite runner. I can't say how much I love the first half of this book. I lay my bed to cry hard for his relationship between his half brother. My favorite characters are his half brother and his dad.

  His half brother is such loyal , sweet and kind person. For you, thousand times more. Oh my goodness. How can I don't cry with this? Also I respect his dad by his determination of not applying low income in USA. He thinks he could make a living by his own labor. By living in USA, I know there are so many people has ability to make a living but still take advantage of the law to apply low income.

  About the author:

  Khaled Hosseini was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, in 1965. His father was a diplomat with the Afghan Foreign Ministry and his mother taught Farsi and History at a large high school in Kabul. In 1976, the Afghan Foreign Ministry relocated the Hosseini family to Paris. They were ready to return to Kabul in 1980, but by then Afghanistan had already witnessed a bloody communist coup and the invasion of the Soviet army. The Hosseinis sought and were granted political asylum in the United States. In September of 1980, Hosseini's family moved to San Jose, California.Hosseini graduated from high school in 1984 and enrolled at Santa Clara University where he earned a bachelor's degree in Biology in 1988. The following year, he entered the University of California-San Diego's School of Medicine, where he earned a Medical Degree in 1993. He completed his residency at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. Hosseini was a practicing internist between 1996 and 2004. While in medical practice, Hosseini began writing his first novel, The Kite Runner, in March of 2001. In 2003, The Kite Runner, was published and has since become an international bestseller, published in 48 countries. In 2006 he was named a goodwill envoy to UNHCR, the United Nations Refugee Agency. His second novel, A Thousand Splendid Suns was published in May of 2007. Currently, A Thousand Splendid Suns is published in 40 countries. Khaled has been working to provide humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan through The Khaled Hosseini Foundation. The concept for The Khaled Hosseini Foundation was inspired by a trip to Afghanistan Khaled made in 2007 with the UNHCR. He lives in northern California.

  The summery:

  Amir, a well-to-do Pashtun boy, and Hassan, a Hazara and the son of Amir's father's servant, Ali, spend their days in a peaceful Kabul, kite fighting, roaming the streets. Amir’s father loves both the boys, but seems critical of Amir for not being manly enough. Amir also fears his father blames him for his mother’s death during childbirth. Amir wants his father’s love so much, so he tries to win in competition of running kite with the help of Hassan. A notoriously mean and violent older boy, Assef, wants the kite, but Hassan keeps the word for Amir "For you, a thousand times over." He refuses to give up Amir's kite, so Assef exacts his revenge, assaulting and raping him. Amir witnesses the rape but is too scared to help him. Amir reacts indifferently because he feels ashamed. He forces Hassan to leave so that he would not feel so guilty of the daily reminder of his cowardice and betrayal. Five years later, the Russians invade Afghanistan; Amir and Baba escape to America. There is not as good as in Pakistan, but they are more like father and son. Amir finishes college, becomes a writer as his own wishes, gets married with Soraya and they cannot have children. Amir embarks on a successful career as a novelist when he receives a call from Rahim Khan, who is dying from an illness. Amir goes back to Pakistan and knows about Hassan is his real brother and he has died and left a son who is in danger in Pakistan. After all the struggling, the pain of being cheated by his father and the guilty of betrayal his brother, Amir decides to take risk of being back in the war to find Hassan’s son, his own nephew Sohrab, back. The man who takes the boy away and takes Hassan’s life away is his childhood nemesis, Assef. Amir tries his best to get the boy out and almost dies for it. After lots of troubles, Amir finally takes the boy with him back to the USA. But so many pains the boy has suffered, he is emotionally damaged and refuses to speak or even glance at others. In the end Sohrab only shows a lopsided smile, but Amir takes to it with all his heart as he runs the kite for Sohrab, saying, "For you, a thousand times over."

  My understanding:

  The Kite Runner has many themes such as betrayal, redemption, forgiveness, love, social class, ethnic tensions and the cruel of war. Through the whole novel, I smiled and cried, cheered and anguished. I enjoyed the joyful and painful of all the up and down. Of all those themes, one impressed me most—love is always the best way to redemption. The protagonist Amir is a coward at first, that’s what his father has said “A boy who won’t stand up for himself becomes a man who can't stand up for anything.” Whenever he meets with problems, his fellow Hassan will always stand up for him and keeps the word “For you, a thousand times over.” On the contrary, Amir has no courage to stand up for him even has no courage to admit they are friends, in that he feels guilty, but he is such a coward that he not only betrays their friendship but also abandons him in the most cruel way. He takes the guilty along through all those years and does not have a minute to feel relieved. After the suffering, he wants a way to be better again. In the end, he tries his best even risks his life to save Hassan’s son, and makes every effort to save the boy’s spirit. At that time he takes responsibility for the boy, he finishes a redemption that is full of tears and blood. Our life may not be as dramatic and complicated as Amir’s, but we still have something in common. Sometimes we are coward as Amir, we cannot stand up for our friends even our family members in that we are afraid of hurting ourselves; Sometimes we hurt our lovers for self –protection reasons. We feel so guilty for our betrayal and so ashamed that we want to avoid meeting them, but we know escapism is not the right choice, we won’t feel better until we turn back and face our mistakes. Amir tells us only love can get our courage back, only love can release us and finally get redemption.

  《the Kite Runner》读后感(五):It's not just a story.

  Touching, insightful and thought-provoking.

  It is a very powerful debut and has even dwarfed his 2nd or 3rd (not quite sure) fiction Thousand Splendid Suns. If you believe this is merely about brutality, anguish and despair, you'd better read it again. The author has rather portrayed a paradise of hope and love for someone who craves redemption for his sins.

  这部小说有个如《百年孤独》一样漂亮的开头:

  “我成为今天的我,是在1975年某个阴云密布的寒冷冬日,那年我十二岁。”

  最后,阿米尔从阿富汗救回哈桑的儿子,带他放风筝。终于说出了那句山盟海誓一般的结局:

  For you,a thousand times over(为你,千千万万遍)。

  周五 Commercial & Business Law 的课上,和同学讨论,婚姻是合同吗?桃园结义是合同吗。联合国人权宪章是合同吗?大家列了15个关乎契约的英文单词。我和春天有个约,用哪个呢。公子小姐在后花园山盟海誓一番,私定终生。用哪一个呢。同学们都说,要用Promise。

  阿富汗的富商之子阿米尔,他的一生,所欠的就是一个承诺。他生性怯懦,哈桑是他的仆人,出身于地位卑微的哈扎拉族。遇见大孩子欺负,总是哈桑拉开弹弓,为他承受拳头。阿米尔却以比我的朋友范美忠更快的速度,跑回家了。

  在喀布尔的风筝大赛中,哈桑永远是最棒的,他帮阿米尔夺得冠军,用浸过油的线,可以在空中切断竞争者的风筝。每一回,他跑去为小主人追赶战利品,都会回头,手放在嘴边,说出这句全然委身的诺言,“为你,千千万万遍”。

  但阿米尔知道,自己没有真把哈桑当朋友。他不可能回应这句伟大而沉甸甸的诺言。在那个阴云密布的寒冷冬日,哈桑被堵在小巷中,为保护少爷的风筝,被一群大孩子殴打,甚至被强暴。阿米尔在窗户后看见这一切,转身跑掉了。

  以后苏联入侵,阿米尔父子流亡美国。阿米尔成了作家。他回到黎巴嫩,看望当年鼓励他写作的老师,听见哈桑的死讯,和令人震惊的事实。老师说,你必须回阿富汗,带回哈桑的孩子。因为哈桑是你的弟弟。你的父亲,曾经和最爱他的朋友阿里的妻子通奸,生了哈桑。

  影后的后半,阿米尔仿佛回到了1975年他从那里逃走的小巷。当年凌辱哈桑的孩子,已成了塔利班的头目。阿米尔在哈桑死后,回到了那句以手按嘴的Promise,经历险阻,从这个头目手中把哈桑的孩子带回了美国。

  只是对哈桑来说,那句诺言是与血缘无关的。那句话是一个神圣的誓约。在他那里,这个誓约不但与血缘无关,甚至可以超越主仆,使灵魂本身的平等,在地上不平等的关系中得以彰显。甚至可以平白无故地,将两个人带入一种生命之约的关系里。但在阿米尔那里,却是肉体里的血缘,惊醒和顶替了灵魂里的盟誓。这不是真的救赎,只是悔恨中的安慰。若哈桑不是他的弟弟,阿米尔这一生,就注定没有灵魂中的誓约,和誓约中的自由吗?

  我们和阿米尔一样,缺乏对他人在盟约中的爱与承诺。我们很难活在一个约的观念中,所以开会、约会、聚会,也很难不迟到。在一种没有盟约的文化中,唯一剩下的混泥土就是血缘。所以五伦之外,我们并没有一个真的“四海之内皆弟兄”的理想。所以美忠才骄傲地说,除了我的女儿,我谁都不救,谁都不欠。

  这句话表明,美忠还是一个受儒道两家影响的传统中国人,而并非他自认的自由主义者。他和杨朱更接近,而不是和柏克、洛克或亚当·斯密更接近。在世俗道德的意义上,他的确不欠那些向他砸石头的人。但他所欠的,如我们所欠的,也如阿米尔所欠的,就是我与上帝、我与世界、我与他人的一个Promise。我们靠着自由主义的群己权界,划开我们与他人的关系。我们将受到这个关系保护的那个自由意志的部分,称之为“自由”。但我们始终要靠着一个圣爱之约,一个在免于强制之后,甘愿委身的Promise,来重建我们与社会、与他人,乃至与摇动的大地、浩瀚的宇宙之间的关系。当我们把这个盟约关系中的自我抉择的部分,称之为自由时;自由的意思就回到了孔子所说的,“从心所欲,不逾矩”。

  范美忠的困境,是他以为自己仍在与第一个问题作战,却已在第二个问题上战败。所以在我看来,《追风筝的人》也是关于阿富汗、乃至关于整个人类灾后灵魂重建的。对阿米尔来说,旧约中有个故事,堪为他与哈桑的标杆。以色列的王子约拿单,与他的仆人大卫立下盟约。这是一个以色列版的、王子与牧羊人的桃园结义。经上记载说,约拿单爱他的朋友大卫,胜过爱自己的性命。于是他“脱下外袍,给了大卫,又将战衣,刀,弓,腰带都给了他”,作为盟约的记号。

  外袍代表地位,战衣代表胜利者的一切,刀象征力量,腰带则是生命安全的交托。约拿单向着仆人大卫的委身,比哈桑向着主人阿米尔的委身,更令人盼望那盟约中的爱。所谓立约,就是对一个自我中心的世界的放弃。只有与天立约(圣约)、与民立约(宪约)、与人立约(盟约)之后,我们说“同一个世界,同一个梦想”,才不是扯谈。

  站在评判者的角度看,少年阿米尔对朋友的背叛,实在可恶。看范美忠也是如此。但道德评判总是冰冷的,冷冰是因为缺乏爱,更缺乏对我们缺乏爱这一点的自省。这个时代最大的危机,是我们以商业契约的精神,反过来理解一切盟约的关系。结婚时,我们很难说出,无论你年轻或衰老,健康或疾病,脾气好与坏,甚至无论你的爱还在不在,我都永远爱你。我在盟约中的爱,不以你背约,为我背约的理由。

  我对朋友说,你们的山盟海誓,手足之情,你们对国家的认同,最恰当的词是这个,Covenant(圣约或盟约)。也就是约拿单与大卫立约用的那个词。翻译桃园结义,也只能是这个词。

  我又说,我们都是范美忠,都是阿米尔,他和我们一样,终有一天要对世界说出这部电影的最后一句:

  For you,a thousand times over。

  《the Kite Runner》读后感(七):让我们了解中东的一本书

  The Kite Runner《追风筝的人》以主人翁从1970年代到‘9•11’之后的生活贯穿全书,以他与父亲和佣人儿子的感情为轴心,尽量勾画出阿富汗从苏联占领前夕到塔利班上台,以及9•11事件之后的这一段历史面貌和其人民的生活遭遇。

  小说首先以闲适的语言描写了主人翁Amir 和他的玩伴加帮佣Hassan在战前喀布尔平和晴朗的天空下阅读历史小说,追逐风筝的快乐童年,和带有强烈社会等级观念的少年友情。然而随着阿富汗皇权的颠覆,国家的沉沦和战争的开始,作者笔下的祖国变得残垣断壁、满目疮痍。小说的第二部分是主人翁带着自我救赎的心情从美国回到阿富汗,弥补他的过失,并力图找回心中过去的美好时光。

  小说使用了许多传统的悬念,如无知的少年,身世的秘密,挣扎徘徊,等等;以及过于保守的结构:小说从放风筝始,以放风筝终。其间对于塔利班占领时期屠杀的描写满足了中东世界之外的读者对塔利班组织的猎奇心理。整个小说从道德观念上看——无论东、西——都是无可挑剔的。这对于一个生长于阿富汗,成熟于美国,并以非母语语言(英语)写作的作者来说不算容易。

  作为个中国读者,在对阿富汗人民的悲惨遭遇抱以极大同情的同时,也对作者的某些用语不甚了了。比如:为什么下人们长着一张“平淡无奇的中国脸”(“a Chinese flat face”),而美国领事不尽人道的拒签却有其深刻的家庭原因——他女儿自杀了。也许是沙文主义在作祟吧。

  小说的语言浅显易懂,用语没有太多的历史承载(cultural-loaded languages),词汇量不大,句式结构非常规范,几乎没有什么结构复杂的长句,所以一目了然。我强烈推荐英语学习者把它作为用习得语言写作的范例读一读。它会给你信心的,因为它曾经是纽约时报畅销书排行榜第一名。

  RAN...

  每一秒,时间都在奔跑,而人类,忙碌着,追逐着,没有时间停歇

  花了两周的时间,趁闲暇的时候,有一眼没一眼地看,终于看完了Khaled Hosseini的The Kite Runner, 书中的情节在大脑中翻滚,我努力地去回忆每一个细节,去揣摩每句话的内涵。

  每个角色是鲜活的,都在时间的掌控下奔走。

  人生有时就像一个风筝,线掌握在别人的手中,没有线,你无法飞向高空,而有了线,你却失去了自由。当你在高空飞翔,渴望自由,拒绝了线,却发现,跌落的重量,会让你支离破散。

  书中的每一个人都不是自由的,像Ali、Hassan无法选择自己的出身,只能终身被旁人欺凌、嘲笑,虽Amir和Baba对他们很好,但别人对他们却是另外一个态度,最终逃脱不了悲剧的命运;像Amir的Baba对妻子爱到深处却对她死亡的无能为力,对Amir个性的失望却又不能改变,对Hassan的离去的不舍却找不到合适的理由让他留下;像Amir对自己小时候背叛Hassan,却一味逃避不愿面对,后悔时才知道一切都无法挽回。

  每个人都在成长,每个人都有自己的命运,都逃脱不了死亡。一切都在狂奔,发生的一切都不会重来。

  相同的一句话,从不同的口中说出,对不同的人,放在不同的情境中,虽时过境迁,却似一个轮回,这句话是Hassan经常对Amir说的,Hassan只是单纯地这么以为,Amir就是他的整个世界,而Amir早已不知听了多少遍。仍记得Farid说这句话的时候,Amir控制不住泪流满面,这句话,带给他太多欢喜、悲伤和懊悔。文章最后,Amir对Sohrad说出这句话的时候,会是怎样的心情,是爱?是忏悔?是宽恕?我觉得更多的是对过去的放下,是自己心灵的救赎。为了爱,可以不惜一切代价,兄弟之爱,父子之爱,亲情,或许夹杂着爱情,试问这世间还有多少如此单纯的不惜一切。

  Amir的Baba可以说是一个榜样、一个楷模,一个万人敬仰的英雄,他有人格魅力,有头脑,有事业,有财富,有信仰,有善心,敢爱敢恨,救济穷人,他为了妻子、为了家庭而RAN,死前仍不忘撮合Amir和Soraya,为儿子找一个好的妻子,发挥了自己的余热,他的一生可以说是充实而高尚的一生。Baba在Amir很小的时候就教导他:"There is only one sin,only one,and that is theft."如果你杀死了一个父亲,那你就夺取了一个妻子拥有丈夫的权利,一个孩子拥有父亲的权利,如果你撒谎,那你就夺取了别人知道真相的权利。他对欺骗、对偷盗深恶痛绝,而殊不知,他最终仍把自己的秘密带进了坟墓:Hassan是他跟女仆的儿子。他欺骗了这个世界,夺取别人知道这个事实的权利,如果Amir早些知道这个真相,那么Hassan或许就不会发生那样的事,而Amir和Hassan或许就会是另外一个结果。

  quot;There is a way to be good again." Rahim这样告诫Amir,Rahim在书中是一个智者的角色,学识渊博,通情达理,是Amir尊敬的对象。是的,过去的已成事实,而现在可以做的就是变得更好,错误已经犯下,现在能做的唯有弥补。从Rahim口中,Amir得知Hassan是自己同父异母的兄弟,是Baba和女仆的私生子,得知Hassan为了守护家园而丧命,得知Sohrad的遗失。Amir为了弥补自己的过错,或者是父亲的过错,或者是Rahim的过错,前往正处战争中的阿富汗,回到他久别的故乡,寻找Sohrad,在那里,他目睹了什么是物非人非,他遇到了童年时的劲敌-仍然无恶不作的Assef,在两人的战斗中险些丧命,但最终仍带回了Sohard。

  当看到Sohrad自杀获救,躺在病床上说出这样的话时,我眼泪还是忍不住掉了下来,作为一个孩子,他承受了太多的东西,小时候那么多美好的东西,有爱着自己的父母,有漂亮的家,有知心的朋友,安静、平和,而这一切,因为战争,都被毁了,父母在自己眼前被杀,家被强占,他成了一个孤儿,在孤儿院忍饥挨饿,甚至被蹂躏,他承受了那么多,他觉得自己dirty,觉得无脸面对家人(虽然已经没有家人),但却强忍着坦然面对,仍心存善意,因为父亲Hassan教导他即使是坏人也不要伤害,因为他们将来有可能变成好人。幼小的心灵受到的创伤,又有什么可以弥补,他孤言寡语,经常低着头看着脚趾,一副惹人怜悯的模样,他选择不再相信任何人。

  但后来,他相信了Amir,因为Amir是他的叔叔,而且Promised一定不再把他送回孤儿院,Promised他虽然不能回到美好的过去,但可以创造更好的未来,是啊,他Promised太多的Unsure。Amir和Soraya在收养Sohrad的过程中遇到了一些问题,无法入境、不合法等,Amir告诉Sohrad可能再把他送回孤儿院的当晚,Sohrad选择了自杀。

  自杀,就可以摆脱一切痛苦,这个世界那么肮脏,那么多虚假,又有什么可以留恋。

  如果,自杀可以解决一切,那为什么,还有那么多痛苦的人活在世上。

  如果,自杀是最好的结果,那为什么,那么多童话故事都有个大团圆的结局。

  很多人并不关心会发生什么,曾经发生什么,即将发生什么,他们只关心结果。就像工作,老板不关心你过程如何,只关心你带来的结果;就像看肥皂剧,如果不是为了看结果,谁会每天都按时守在电视机前盯着,唯恐错过大满贯结局;电视剧的播放记录亦不外乎前几集和最后一集的播放记录最多。

  现在看小说,我选择性得不想看小说给出的结局,因为我知道,结局只是作者一厢情愿给出的,或者只是为了迎合读者,我更愿意让自己走入故事中,去安排一个自己想象的结果。

  谁是谁的Kite Runner,我不关心,我只记得书中的那些鲜活的角色,以及他们带给我的那些感触。

  《the Kite Runner》读后感(九):The unforgettable memories triggered the deed of redemption

  This is the first English book I read over, which I bought in the Amsterdam International Airport in 2009 after an oversea internship. The colorful kites and boys in brotherhood drew my eyes and consequently made my mind of picking one.

  My friend who’s read in Chinese told me how many times he couldn’t help weeping badly. Due to the vocabulary limits, I couldn’t finish it until recently I’d got time in the business trip. I, however, hesitated about leaking tears. To be honest, I missed quite a lot of beautiful decorative words and might even misunderstand some part of the plot. Based on the bulk-in-granular impression, I give my own remarks here.

  There being a kind of man who really takes time to make a final decision and would not risk of anything unsteady, tends to be regarded as an irresponsible coward. That’s the Amir in the book about, so am I. The brave action of returning Kabul for Hassan’s child was only an irrational impulse, and the dying fleeing from the Taliban’s nest was merely a on-the-margin luck. I do respect heroes no matter he/she is pushed to the historical stage or positively out standing, which both require courage and luck. The redemption deed itself already turned into altruism, patriotism and humanity action in the end. From this perspective, I’ve been moved, not solely moved by the story Amir told to every reader.

  ……So they took him to the Street—

  o.

  —and order him to kneel—

  o.God,no.

  —and shot him in the back of the head.

  昨夜读到这里,没有办法继续,放下的书自然合上了,到今天,数次打算继续,竟然每次一翻,就是这一页。

  Hassan居然就这样死了,而之前他唯一留给Amir的信里刚刚说过:……every day I thank Allah that I am alive,not because I fear dealth,but because my wife has a husband and my son is not an orphan.……

  而没过多久,因为拒绝Taliban为“keep it safe”的目的搬进Amir家,死了,同时死去的还有他温顺的妻子。人生于生而卑微的他们,是无穷无尽的苦难,死亡或者是解脱。可是那个十岁的天使般的小男孩呢?街头饥饿的孤儿又多一个,人间炼狱Kabul也不会有什么不同。

  最可怜的人是Amir,他再也没有机会忏悔,没有机会挽回他对于Hassan的负疚:那张他睁开眼看到的人世间的第一张脸Hassan,那个张嘴说的第一词是“Amir”的Hassan,他们是主仆,是手足……Hassan无条件的忠诚,Amir为争取父亲的爱而不断膨胀的私心……

  Hassan死了,更残酷的是,Hassan死了,Amir才知道,他们其实是真正的兄弟……

  命运的大手挑着兰花指,随意拨弄着这人世,于是我们哭啊笑啊,奋了力挣扎也罢、灰了心沉沦也罢,终究不过是这样,转瞬就是一生。
